It offers monthly leadership webinars and training in various locations in Asia; it promotes many leadership schools, seminars, and workshops in Asia; and it facilitates the yearly YWAM Asia Leadership Summit.
PSALM 126
spoke to us this year as we navigated this season. I haven’t talked much about my girl’s journeys, but I will share one highlight briefly.
End of 2023
At the end of last year, my girls were slowly coming out, opening up their hearts to me and the people around them. They began to talk openly about their feelings and struggles. After 5 years of bottling this up, it must have been so hard for them—very hard.
Smiles
I felt like it was a dream when I saw my youngest Khaikhai smiling, bursting out laughing and cracking jokes. Lala is beginning to show her emotions and cry when she feels sad. Whenever I take pictures now, I see my girls finally smiling. Not faking it! It is freedom for me too, because I pray and cry out to God every night for Him to encounter my girls. This is like when the Lord restored Zion and brought joy back. I can speak Psalm 126:3, “The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad.”.
Restoration
Part of the restoration is bringing to life the vision that He laid in my heart some 19 years ago. The SLC (Strategic Leadership Course), of which I am a current student, has now brought a deeper connection to Asian leaders, which has helped me embrace and empower my personal vision.
The vision is
“Young people in Cebu and the other islands, equipped, empowered, discipled and multiplying other disciples in the nation and beyond.”
Part of the equipping I am doing currently is developing a core of young leaders in our team who are trained in the areas of running small groups, developing their vision, organizing & conducting training, and spiritual leadership. It’s been very rewarding to see them flourish, and we are looking for the pioneering Discipleship Training School (DTS) next year that I am targeting to run.

As a newcomer to this circle, this year’s Asia Leadership Summit on May 15–18, 2024, in Jeju, South Korea, will connect me to the mentor circle and other leaders that I am meeting online. It will be an opportunity to collaborate, sit down, talk, and strategize about our visions and dreams for Asia and beyond.
We are going. In fact, God, through my children, has been affirming and confirming that it is time to go.
Psalm 126:6: “He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”
We want to be a part of this gathering this year. The Philippines is strategically positioned to catalyze a big move by God with the coming Global Gathering with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in Manila this September. The gathering in Korea would be a unifier for the body of Christ in Asia.

Our Prayer Points
- Pray for the needed funds to purchase air tickets, ground fees, transportation and food.
- Pray for divine connections for me and my girls.
- Pray for a great time connecting with the key leaders of ALLC and open doors to connect with YWAM Jeju.
- Pray for our visa approval to get into Seoul.
- Pray for a great time reconnecting with my former DTS classmates who are living in Seoul. I haven’t seen them in 19 years. They are excited to see me.
