YWAM Together, Manila (September 3-6, 2024)
The recent YT conference in Manila turned out a bit different for us. Instead of attending the entire conference, I and my daughters were only there for 1.5 days. I spent the rest of the time nursing my very sick girls, even returning home with the same illness they had. Above all the interruptions, God was inviting me closer to His heart.
Here are some of my highlights:
1. Darlene, the co-founder of YWAM, reminded me of the four legacy words when she shared them with the 4,500 delegates. YWAM’s legacy encompasses the vision of the waves, discipling nations through the spheres of influence, the Christian Magna Carta, and ending bible poverty. These constitute YWAM’s legacy to global missions.
2. The Tripod message was a reminder for me not to drift away and to re-align myself under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Our YT story ended with a letter written by Lala, my Gen Alpha. I will share a short excerpt, “I want to share the gospel with everyone too, just like you guys.” It was all worth, saying Yes to His call. And my legacy—our story continues to the next generation.

CHOP's New Place
We finally moved to our new location in San Carlos Heights, Barangay Quiot Pardo, Cebu city. I am still working in a temporary office so often times I moved to different rooms. Despite the constant moving, I felt a sense of stability. I felt like God is re-establishing my home-based by allowing myself to build strength to explore, create, play and draw near to God’s heart.
There are a lot of opportunities opening for us in this new location, and I can’t wait to share more in the coming days.
Mentoring Circle
ALLC (Asia Leaders Learning Community) paved the way for me to be part of the strategic leadership team of facilitators this year. I am privileged to work side-by-side on vision development with leaders in Asia, Africa, Oceania and America. This global community of connections is growing and flourishing. I am inspired to hear stories and work with global leaders. This SLC (Strategic Leadership Course) online started last September 20 and will run until November 20.
Open Hearts
Prayers move mountains!
My batchmates’ hearts are slowly opening up to me. Nothing is impossible for those who wait for the Lord. I am taking every opportunity to invest and speak into the lives of my high school friends. They are at a point in their lives where they want to impact the community and make a difference in someone’s life. It has been a fruitful time sharing over a meal or coffee how we can be a light in this dark world. Continue to pray for me in this area

RECONNECT
I am so proud of my former DTS (Discipleship Training School) students who are now strong leaders in their generation. Maricel was a longtime missionary to Laos and is now currently serving in the frontiers, while Ping is leading DTS’s in the country.
It was a time to look back 18 years and see how God has been with us all through the seasons of our lives. I couldn’t wait to see Prayer and Worship Focus DTS unfold next year, and I look forward to sharing more of it soon.
