The Mercado’s

Our vision is to see young people in Cebu and the entire nation equipped and empowered to share to the whole world the gospel of the kingdom of Christ.

Christine Mercado has spent the last thirteen (13) years working with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the Philippines, Thailand, and the Indo-China region. Christine attended YWAM-Cebu’s Discipleship Training School (DTS) in 2005, where she met her late husband in 2006. Christine has two lovely daughters, Mishaila Jann (Lala) and Mikhaila Jann (Khaikhai). Christine has focused on training, discipleship, administrative work, unreached people groups (UPG), and mercy ministry over the years. The Mercados are currently serving with the Cebu House of Prayer (CHOP).

Dazzling World Changers

Meet the two(2) world changers, Lala and Khaikhai. The two artsy girls love expressing their creativity through the arts.  Lala(in purple) loves writing and doodling, while Khaikhai is into video editing and digital art. On this page, we will share more about their work and our everyday lives.

Latest from the Blog

The Journey of Three will be talking about the work we are doing in the Cebu House of Prayer(CHOP), ministries,  our everyday life, thoughts and reflections.

Come, subscribe and be a part of our journey!

April Story

April Story

April StoryIt didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I was slow, unproductive, tired, and overwhelmed in everything and seemed to be disconnected with God. God was silent! I found myself in a faith crisis, shaking if I have enough strength to physically and...

Invitation

InvitationI had compromised this week the invitations of His heart. I felt the busyness, the deadlines and the disruptions. I lost the attachment- the divine care, the longing for HIs nearness was strong. Here I am today, sitting down, knowing that I have house chores...

Wrap Up

Wrap Up "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It...

Reset

Reset

RESET- The overnight staff retreat in Moalboal last month brought the needed reset. Communing with nature—just being calm and quiet releases all toxins  accumulated with work, city life and recent spiritual warfare. Grounding ourselves back reconnects us to our...

Celebrate

Celebrate

48!It feels good—so good to be 48!   Last month's spiral of emotions was replaced by a month of celebration. I decided to listen to my body and my emotions and be more aware of their needs. I chose joy and celebrated the small victories, defeats, frustrations, and...

Vulnerable

Vulnerable

Vulnerable September came with a spiral of emotions—health, car problems, ministry transitions, and unprocessed grief. Circumstances beyond my control overwhelmed my heart and mind. I became vulnerable, which meant being honest, real, and transparent. I stopped...
